WHY ACBOSS

Made for a calmer night.

01

Comfort at bed level

ACBOSS is designed to focus on the place where you rest, not just the air high up in the room.

02

Place it your way

Keep it close on a bedside surface, or choose a clean wall position when you want the room to feel quieter.

03

Quiet local control

A considered, unobtrusive object for the room you wind down in, with a single discreet status light.

A BETTER REFERENCE POINT

Comfort follows you, not the ceiling.

Rooms are rarely experienced as averages. ACBOSS is intended to give your split AC a more personal point of reference, closer to the way a bedroom is actually used.

FLEXIBLE PLACEMENT

Mount it where it matters.

ACBOSS is designed to belong in the room rather than dominate it. Keep it within reach, or move it to a clean wall position for an intentional, low-profile setup.

BEHIND THE SURFACE

Thoughtful technology, kept out of sight.

Its calm exterior is only the visible part of the experience. The product is designed to bring sensing and control into a single, unobtrusive room object.

Why Your AC Overcools & How ACBOSS Solves It

Understand the built-in AC thermostat flaw, wired thermostat barriers, and how ACBOSS creates continuous real-world room comfort.

PROBLEM 1 // THERMAL PHYSICS FLAW

The Thermostat Built in the AC

Even a 24°C AC setting feels freezing cold after running for a while. Why? Because the thermostat built in the AC measures return air near the ceiling, not your bed.

There is a 3°C to 4°C temperature difference between your bed and ceiling return air. The AC compressor keeps running aggressively until the return air hits 24°C—leaving your sleeping area at a freezing 20°C.

BUILT-IN AC SENSOR: 24°C BED TEMP: 20°C (FREEZING)
PROBLEM 2 // HARDWARE CONTROL BARRIER

Wired Thermostats Don't Work

Traditional smart thermostats like Nest or Ecobee are built for central HVAC systems requiring 24V wired relay cables. Split ACs have zero wired thermostat ports.

To control a Split AC automatically, you need an Infrared (IR) based controller—which in reality is just a remote control. Basic IR blasters and mobile apps lack true local room sensing and occupancy radar.

NEST / ECOBEE: WIRED ONLY SPLIT AC: INFRARED ONLY
THE ACBOSS SOLUTION

Best of Both Worlds

We built ACBOSS to bridge this exact gap. It places a high-precision climate sensor right at bed/couch height—measuring true occupant thermal comfort—while using an onboard 360° IR array to send instant micro-adjustments to your Split AC. No wiring, no overcooling, no cloud latency.

Up & Running in Under 2 Minutes

Zero wiring, no HVAC technician required. Simply place ACBOSS on your nightstand and match your Split AC remote.

STEP 01

Place Near Bed or Couch

Set ACBOSS on your nightstand or side table. Placing it near your sleeping or sitting area ensures it senses true occupant micro-climate rather than ceiling return air.

STEP 02

2-Minute IR Remote Signal Match

Press any button on your existing Split AC remote facing ACBOSS. Onboard 38kHz IR learner automatically detects and saves your AC remote control signals.

STEP 03

Autopilot Active (100% Local)

ACBOSS begins monitoring temperature, humidity, 24GHz mmWave radar breathing, and BLE mobile app proximity—sending continuous 360° IR adjustments locally.

Mount Anywhere. Power with Anything.

Designed for modern bedrooms: choose between tabletop placement or wall mounting, powered by standard 5V USB-C or any portable power bank.

MOUNTING 01 // DESK & NIGHTSTAND

Tabletop & Nightstand Placement

Set ACBOSS directly on your bedside table or couch stand. Its 360° omnidirectional IR lens array and weighted anti-slip base ensure perfect room coverage and bed-level sensing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about compatibility, local logic, and hardware setup.

Will ACBOSS work with my existing Split AC?

Yes. ACBOSS features a 38kHz IR receiver that learns your existing Split AC remote control signals during a 2-minute setup process.

What are the mounting options for ACBOSS?

ACBOSS offers flexible dual-mounting: place it flat on your bedside table or couch stand for bed-level sensing, or mount it cleanly on any wall using the included magnetic wall bracket or residue-free 3M adhesive strip.

Can ACBOSS run on a power bank during power outages?

Yes. ACBOSS is powered via a standard 5V DC USB-C port. You can plug it into any standard mobile power bank to maintain uninterrupted AC cooling autopilot during summer power cuts.

Does ACBOSS require active internet or Wi-Fi to run?

No. ACBOSS runs 100% of its comfort decision loops locally on the onboard MCU. Internet access is not required for continuous cooling autopilot.

What do early units look like?

Early units are custom 3D-printed hardware enclosures containing our fully-tested PCB prototype platform.
